My Personal Story

My name is melissa. I'm a proud wife, devoted mum, step-mum, and step-nan – my family means the world to me and family is at the core of everything that I do. This deep appreciation for family connections and shared stories is why I love exploring genealogy and the unique journeys that shape us. When I'm not helping families, you might find me lost in a good book, cheering on my AFL team, walking my beloved Dachshunds or enjoying the simple joys of camping. I consider myself down-to-earth, approachable, and genuine, and I bring these qualities into everything I do, especially when supporting families with care, respect, and understanding.

My Professional Story

With a career grounded in compassion, service, and community, I bring a wealth of experience supporting people during some of life’s most meaningful moments. My professional journey has included working within both historic and large contemporary cemeteries, where I developed a deep understanding of the importance of dignity, care, and respect when supporting families through times of loss. Throughout my career I have focused strongly on customer service, ensuring every person feels heard, supported, and gently guided when they may be at their most vulnerable. As a former Team Leader within a government agency, I developed strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills while supporting both my team and the community we served. Alongside this work, I was the proud owner of an award-winning wedding and events business, where I have had the privilege of helping couples celebrate life’s happiest milestones. In 2022, I was honoured to receive a Carer’s Award recognising my care, compassion, and empathy—qualities that continue to guide my work and the way I connect with every family and client I support.

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for helping people.  What truly drives me as a celebrant is the profound opportunity to make a huge difference for those navigating their most challenging times. It's an honour to stand as the front person, guiding families with care and respect as they commemorate a loved one. Each ceremony is a testament to a unique life, and I cherish the role I play in bringing their story to light, making it truly memorable.
